Recently the RCMP contacted Rice Bros. Dispatch to assist in a roadside recovery of a commercial truck that had just rolled on Highway 36 about 20 minutes north of Brooks. Due to the coulees, steep road banks and location of the truck and trailer, this took a Big Bed, 2 winch trucks, a Texas-bed truck, 2 Pilot trucks, additional equipment and 10 staff. Working in conjunction with the RCMP, a successful recovery was completed. The driver of the truck is recovering and the cause of the accident was something that could have happened to anyone at anytime. In fact, it probably has! He was drinking from a water bottle, it went down the wrong way and he began coughing.
